AI art hater, you? Aww bro.
Look, i dislike when people sell AI art, and when they copyright it, or put watermarks on it. But i appreciate AI art in general.
I do hate when i see popular figures in AI art generated, and i really hate that we don't see more original figures and characters, but mostly "near perfect" female and some male faces. Yuck! I'm tired of pouty lips, and sexy figures.
I want to see more variations, and less popular figures. Everytime i see a Pikachu or Emma Watson made by AI, i cringe! Fuuk it!
I see you remove a lot of comments opposing your anti AI viewpoints. I can only recommend learning more about how AI actually works before jumping into accusations of theft and the lack of the artist at work. Since you already admit you yourself have used AI. I think its best to not view technology as a luddite opposition, rather learn how technology benifits artist especially in today's digital age of photoshop and digital manipulation to create art. With the newly emerging AI, it seems people have yet to accept their own moral conflicts when glossing over how an artist can work with a digital computer and what making "art" is in this century. Long are the days when the only "art" has been cavewalls and paper. If you really object to AI, you might be zoning into your personal views rather than observing how digital tools can be used by the modern artist. Take for example, like you said, creating references, lineart, backgrounds, poses, all things we can benefit from AI technology as artists. Especially in open source communities where we can even CHOOSE to use AI ethically such as not going out of our way to emulate other people's artwork, something that can't be an option in companies like Midjourney or Google. But just thinking AI is a dumb prompt machine is only going to hurt your perspective about the complex workflow behind our current technology, i.g. how AI doesn't use stolen art, but reference reconstruction + settings+ user formula which confronts our entire philosophy of how humans still create art using tools. A non drawer can benefit by bringing their creativity alive, just like photoshop. And a traditional illustrator can benefit by utilizing AI into their workflow, just as we have done with past technology from animation to our current favorite digital workstations.
I only remove comments if they're aggressive. I would say uno reverse and practice what you preach, looking into things before throwing accusations around as well as learn how AI works.
There for, I will leave you with this post https://www.tumblr.com/neil-gaiman/748577472181846016?source=share
I see. If people are using belittled language it's understanding. Also, this image gives an example of a "traditional artist" vs an "ai artist." Again placing both fields into 2 different oppositions when the reality is mixed. You can be a traditional artist and use AI, and you can be a prompter and develop a passion for art. This post just makes it seem like they hired random nobodies. If you enter the work field, it should be obvious that you will need some understanding of what you're working in. Such as photographers, a good artist will be able to produce higher quality results with their camera and editing knowledge, compared to someone that just started yesterday. Development is possible in any field. The post shows less a stab to AI prompters and more a flaw in the hiring recruitment as to how they managed to hire such a weak employee. But, if this was the 1980s, it would be like not hiring any digital artists and refusing to adapt digital tools because you hired a few novices. Rather, I see the present as more an early example of how today's artists are already utilizing AI into their workflow, not simply shrugging at new tools because they feel like a different job. Like how artists today already know a little about photoshop, or adobe illustrator, or know how to work with blender animation, or a little 3d.
Sounds like someone missed the point of the screenshot message entirely.
You can't understand the fact that someone has a strong opinion about a machine that does your homework for you, so you have to pressure them into believing the word of your savior, AI. My mind is made up, accept it and leave people alone.
I love this page ^^ and love the artwork
Thank you ^^
