Description

If you know me personally, you know I have an affinity for all things blue and glitter. And with the release of the new dragon, of course I immediately fell in love with her. And of course I will be getting a plush of her and a fleece blanket.

It seems to me that all the discourse around her are rabid shippers who aren't happy with the LGBTQ+ representation already in the franchise. So they're throwing a huge fantrum all over the place making massive assumptions based on the three or four stills we got of glitter bae. All while forgetting we haven't had any trailer drops yet to confirm our theories as to what type of dragon she is outside of her being a "light fury".

That being said, I proudly support our glitter queen.

Huh, I didn't know the discourse around her was anything LGBTQ+ related?  Guess I only really skimmed the surface of it anyway when it was still going on.  Most of the discourse I saw for her was general complaints about the design and being somewhat generic, typical female character attributes used constantly to fit the particular mold ( lighter colors compared to her male counter part, smoother and softer compared to the male counter part, stuff of that nature... ) but I don't know.  Taking all of that into account, I myself still thought the design was cute and a nice contrast to Toothless' design.  HTTYD was never really my cup of tea anyway so it wasn't really something I paid a lot of attention to. I love this picture of this character though.  I've been sorta quietly following you for a while now and I just love how you do color and shading.  It always looks so smooth and soft.  Really satisfying to look at.  And maybe a little jealousy inspiring considering I can't shade worth a damn lol.  Anyway, love your work!
